Franklin stoves.
A primary product was parts for the Franklin stove.
Bars of pig iron.
Pig iron was cast by digging troughs in the furnace floor and pouring the molten iron into them. There would be a main trough with branches that looked like a sow with suckling pigs, hence the name pig iron. By English law, pig iron was supposed to be the only product the colonies made. It was to be shipped to England where it would be made into products and shipped back to the colonies for sale.
Cannon.
During the Revolutionary war, Hopewell Furnace made cannon and cannon balls for the patriot’s navy, a treasonous activity.
